Melbourne, Jan 26 : Shane Warne, who is a national sporting hero and has also wooed Elizabeth Hurley, has been labelled as Un-Australian of the Year by a leading lad’s magazine.
According to the annual list of ZOO Weekly, the 42-year-old Australian cricketer was criticised by the magazine for his makeover.
“Warnie’s woeful makeover sealed the deal,” the Daily telegraph quoted Tim Keen, the editor of ZOO as saying.
“He’s a bloke who went from eating baked beans to being the same colour as them. He looks like Teri Hatcher’s stunt double.
“We’re all for punching above your weight, but you’ve got to go in the ring with the same body you had at the weigh-in,” Keen added.
The UnAustralian of the Year Award is given to the Aussie who brings the most shame, ridicule and humiliation to their home nation.
Serial mouth-jockey Kyle Sandilands was also cited for his disgraceful spray at journalist Alison Stephenson after she criticised his underwhelming TV performance.
