Warner to shelve plans to switch-hit 'dangerman' SwannSydney, July 1: Australian opener David Warner has said he will shelve plans to switch hit "danger" off-spinner Graeme Swann unless Australia was in control ahead of their second ODI at The Oval against England. “Early on I''ll be getting across to that and playing the ball on its merits, but as you get in you get a little bit tired, but what you tend to do is you know there''s no slips and you think you can get away with just working it down to third man or through extra cover,” News.com.au quoted Warner, as saying. “That''s my game, I''ve got to learn from that, get my feet across, not be so lazy through that period, and capitalise on that,” he added. The bouncy Oval track held no fears for the 25-yr-old, who said it would provide a taste of home. “We know the wicket here has a little more bounce and carry. We have to back ourselves. We play at the Gabba and WACA. We are used to bouncy wickets,” he said. © ANI |
