Vettori all set to return to competitive cricketWellington, Dec 30: Former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori is all set to return to cricket after suffering a hamstring injury that kept him out of the team’s famous test win against Australia in Hobart and the initial stages of the domestic T20 competition. Vettori has today been named in the Northern Districts squad for their New Year’s Eve fourth round HRV Cup clash against Canterbury at Blake Park in Mt Maunganui. He aggravated his troublesome left hamstring on the morning of the Hobart test on December 9, and at the time was expected to miss three to four weeks of cricket before returning in the New Year, stuff.co.nz reports. The Knights and Wizards are two of four sides tied for second on six points from three matches, with Auckland two points clear at the top. © ANI |
