Swann wanted to bowl with Panesar from a long timeDubai, Jan 26 : England off spinner Graeme Swann has revealed that he was looking forward to bowling in tandem with Monty Panesar. Swann’s wish was fulfilled when Panesar was selected in the team for the second Test match against Pakistan on Wednesday, replacing injured Chris Tremlett. His performance on the first day of the second Test also sent a strong signal that he is in no mood to capitulate his position as England’s number one spinner. Swann claimed three wickets on the first day and conceded 52 runs, while Panesar could only manage a single wicket giving away 91 runs in the process. He also bowled one of his unplayable magic deliveries to left-hander Abdur Rehman that bamboozled him, The Sun reports. © ANI |
