Sreesanth credits 'not trying too many things' for Trent Bridge Test successLondon, July 30 : Indian fast bowler Sreesanth has said that he didn’t try doing too many things while bowling and insists that helped him to perform well on the first day of the Trent Bridge Test against England. Sreesanth, who made a comeback to the Test team in place of injured Zaheer Khan, finished with figures off 3-77 from 19 overs. He, along with fast bowling colleagues Praveen Kumar (3-45) and Ishant Sharma (3-66), used the helpful cloudy conditions to bowl England out for 221 in their first innings. Interacting with mediapersons in Nottingham on Friday, Sreesanth said: “I didn’t do anything differently actually, I had the habit of doing a lot of things when I bowl and trying too many things and this time I just kept it simple.” “The wicket was doing good work itself, anyways it was just a matter of just hitting the seam and I could hit the seam consistently and Sachin, Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh) and everybody really helped me.” “I have been training hard and practicing well, so it really helped me,” he added. At the end of the day’s play, India were 24-1, with Rahul Dravid and V.V.S. Laxman batting. © ANI |
