Practice match against India not crunch game, says Pak skipper Mohammad HafeezColombo, Sept 16: Pakistan’s T20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez on Sunday downplayed the hype surrounding tomorrow’s Indo-Pak practice match, saying that the warm up tie is not a crunch game. Speaking exclusively to ANI here, Pakistan skipper said, “It is not the crunch game. It’s a game that we always take positively. It’s a practice game, but we want to win the game.” “We have got good momentum, winning the series against Australia. It gave us the right momentum, and I am very confident that we will do well,” Hafeez added. Further, he congratulated Yuvraj Singh on his return to international cricket after his successful bout against a rare germ-cell cancer. “I would like to congratulate Mr. Yuvraj Singh, the way he recovered from his illness. On behalf of all Pakistan team, the Pakistan Cricket Board and the nation, I wish him very best of health,” he said. On being asked to comment on resumption of cricketing ties with India, Hafeez called it a “positive step that will bring the governments together.” © ANI |
