Panesar backs England to bounce back in third Test against Pak in UAELondon, Jan 31: England left –arm spinner Monty Panesar has backed his side to bounce back in the third Test against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates. "As a team we have to adapt to changes and as a squad we have to stay tight and enjoy the challenge. With the conditions [on Saturday], the Pakistan bowlers had luck with the conditions. They had a fourth-innings track and there were cracks involved," Panesar said. England, which is World No. 1 Test team were bundled out for 72 in the Abu Dhabi Test, giving Pakistan an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing series. Panesar, who took six second-innings wickets on his first Test appearance for 30 months, rejected claims that England’s batsmen have misfired in the series, the Mirror reports. "The batters have done exceptionally well over the last 18 months against all sorts of bowlers. They are determined, and I am confident that as a team we will work hard in the next few days to get the result we want in the third Test," he added. © ANI |
