Pak betting scam: Cops says UK bookies have netted over 25m poundsLondon, Aug.31 : Investigating agencies believe the cricket match-rigging scandal in England involving four Pakistani cricketers has made over 25 million pounds for shady betting syndicates. According to The Sun, since the arrest of fixer Mazhar Majeed, cops are now looking into alleged corruption at 82 international matches played by Pakistan. The case is being handled by Scotland Yard''s Economic and Specialist Crime squad, which probed MPs'' expenses. A source said: "This inquiry will be about following the paper trail." © ANI |
