Oz opener Hughes working his way back to the topSydney, May 20: Out of favour Australian opener Phillip Hughes has been working his backside off in an effort to make it back to the top. According to his coach, Neil D''Costa, he has worked out the kinks in his game that led to his dropping. D''Costa said he has been working on Hughes''s use of his wrists and his body position. ''''We did some similar stuff with Michael Clarke just before he took over as captain. The results are there to see when it comes to that,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted D’Costa, as saying. “I''m confident that Phil has worked through the areas he need to improve on, and through his hard work and dedication I think he has put himself in the position to reach the top again,” D’Costa added. He also rubbished rumors of Hughes shifting to another state from New South Wales. D''Costa said: “I know he met with NSW and told them he wants to stay and play cricket in this state.” © ANI |
