Oz all rounder Maxwell says England still strong despite KP's absence

Sydney, Sep 17: Australia all rounder Glen Maxwell has said defending Twenty20 champions England is still a formidable team despite the absence of last World Cup’s man of the tournament Kevin Pietersen.

“Even with losing KP, they''ve been able to cover for him pretty well. I don''t think they''re going to miss him too much. Their middle order is quite strong. Eoin Morgan gives them amazing versatility,” News.com.au quoted Maxwell, as saying.

“He''s a great finisher of the game and a really tough player to get out. Their bowling attack is excellent. They''ve got a great bowling coach in David Saker who has drilled them really well,” he added.

Australia would play their first group stage game at the T20 World Cup against Ireland on Wednesday.
