New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and opted to bowl first in the first of two cricket Tests against Bangladesh in Dunedin here Friday. Both captains are doing what they wanted to do, with Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful saying he would have batted first had he won the toss. New Zealand were commanding 3-0 winners in the recent one-day series and will be looking to ram home their dominance ahead of their series against England starting next month. It is Bangladesh's 50th Test match in which they have the bleak record of 43 losses, five draws and one win. They have played New Zealand four times previously and lost each Test by more than an innings.
