New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 102 runs in their second one-day cricket international to wrap up the series with a game to spare at McLean Park here.
Having scored an imposing 335 for five, New Zealand had reduced Bangladesh to 181 for six after 43 overs when rain sent the players from the field with the Duckworth-Lewis system used to determine the outcome.
Peter Fulton top scored for New Zealand with 83, Jamie How made 74 and Jacob Oram 55.
The final match is in Queenstown on Monday, ahead of a two-test series starting in Dunedin on January 4.
