New training gear for Indian cricket teamChennai, July 17: The Sri Lanka-bound Indian cricket team will be kitted with new training apparel that was formally launched here Tuesday. Six cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Aswin, Zaheer Khan, Ajinkya Rahane and Pragyan Ohja, along with chief coach Duncan Fletcher did the honours at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. "The Nike hypercool pro combat base layer made from dri-fit fabric and comprising of a top and shorts designed with 'seamless open mesh zones' on the back, which allows for full range of motion with zonal compression on the shoulders and sleeves is the feature of the apparel," according to Nike. Endorsing the apparel, Kohli said: "The sport of cricket demands long hours of training. The apparel is light and comfortable and gives better ventilation and increased air flow which keeps us cool and it is advantageous while training." © IANS |
