England, after losing the toss, made 118 for seven against South Africa in the first Twenty20 international at Chester-le-Street on Saturday. England captain Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann were both 18 not out in what was the World Twenty20 champions third lowest total in this format. Spinners Johan Botha (two for 19) and Robin Peterson (two for 27) were in the wickets while fast bowler Dale Steyn took one for 13 in his maximum four overs. This is the first of a three-match series. |
