Johannesburg Test: Australia can chase down any total, says HughesJohannesburg, Nov.19: Opener Phil Hughes has said that Australia is capable of chasing down any total put up by the South Africans in the second Test against South Africa, despite the fact their 30-run lead should have been more. Hughes said Australia are backing themselves to chase down whatever target is set for them by South Africa as they attempt to square the series. ''''It won''t really matter, as a batting unit we''ll be confident to chase whatever. Especially on this wicket,'''' the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hughes, as saying. He added: ''''I think it''s going to be a good wicket the whole way through the game. I know we''re only second day in now and we''ve still got three days to play on it and lots of cricket to be played, so we''ll be confident as a batting unit to chase whatever it takes. ''''You always want more (for your first innings), but we''ve got a little bit of confidence going in with that 30-run lead behind us. We have got to start well tomorrow,'''' Hughes said. © ANI |
