India defeated New Zealand by an innings and 115 runs on the penultimate day of the opening Test in Hyderabad on Sunday to gain a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. New Zealand, following on after conceding a 279-run lead, were bowled out for 164 in their second innings in the final session. |
