Harris reveals he has nightmares about breaking down againPerth, Jan.12 : Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris has admitted that he is nervous about breaking down in his comeback Test on Friday, and adds that he has had restless nights and "bad thoughts" about his chronic injury problems. "Of course I am nervous about things," Harris told News Limited newspapers. "In the back of my mind, I do know that things could go wrong for me in Perth. With what has happened to me with injuries in the past, I have had some bad thoughts go through my mind about what could happen and what could go wrong. "I''ve woken up at night a few times thinking about things. But it has been a matter of clearing those bad thoughts from my mind," the Courier Mail quoted him, as saying. Australia has rarely seen a conundrum like Harris - when he is fit he is the country''s best fast bowler, but he has also broken down more times than an old van. Australia would love to be able to cherry-pick certain Tests for Harris to play, but he is smart enough to realise that if he breaks down again he is unlikely to get another chance at Test level. "Bowling in Perth really suits me and it''s probably the pitch I most like bowling on," Harris said. © ANI |
