Melbourne, Jan 14 : Australian batsman Aaron Finch is confident that his team can bounce back in Friday’s second Twenty20 International against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Australia had lost the first Twenty20 International at the Adelaide Oval by one wicket.
“To only lose off the last ball was a real positive I think and a lot can be taken out of that,” the Age quoted Finch, as saying.
“I don’t think we played all that well throughout the whole game. To come up that close is promising. We’ll be very confident going into the game knowing that we’ve come close and we can win,” he added.
The 24-year-old, who scored 15 not out on debut in Adelaide, further said that he was excited about playing on his home ground.
“With 60,000 people there or however many who are going to turn up, it will be a fantastic experience on my home ground,” Finch said.
“There’s meant to be a bit of rain, but hopefully with the MCG being as good as it is, it dries pretty quick,” he added.
