England's Bresnan knows cricket can be a brutal professionLondon, July 15: England fast bowler Tim Bresnan has once again been reminded about the sometimes brutal nature of cricket as a profession following South African wicketkeeper Mark Boucher’s exit due to an eye injury. For England all-rounder Tim Bresnan, Boucher’s experience is another reason why he and his team-mates need to make the most of a golden period for the national side – and why the Yorkshireman remains determined to enjoy every moment of a Test career that is still to see him finish on the losing side. The Daily Express quoted him, as saying: “It’s tragic and, I obviously feel very sorry for him (Boucher) not being able to finish on a high note.” Bresnan said: “He (Boucher) was going to retire at the end of the series, but it’s such a shame that he’s not going to get the send-off his great career deserves.” “It’s a reminder to us all. You realise that it all could be finished tomorrow, you just have to live for today and live for the moment and that’s the way I like to play and the way I like to live my life really,” Bresnan said. © ANI |
