England pacer Broad hobbles out of Dubai net session

Dubai, Jan.16 : England right-arm fast bowler Stuart Broad suffered "heavy bruising" after a ball struck his foot in the nets here on Sunday.

Broad, 25, was given treatment to his left foot but was not sent for a scan and is expected to train on Monday, the BBC reports.

Broad was rested for England''s final preparation before the first Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Tuesday.

Anderson said he expected Broad to be part of the bowling attack.

"It''s just part and parcel of cricket. You do get the odd knock from time to time," he said.
