Boucher's days in South African team are not numbered, says Andrew HudsonCape Town, Dec 5: South African cricket selection chief Andrew Hudson insists that wicketkeeper Mark Boucher’s days in the team are not numbered. Hudson feels Boucher still has “a lot to offer”, but acknowledged that the 35-year-old’s form with the bat needs to improve. Boucher could only muster 20 runs in three innings in the recent Test series against Australia. “He understands that he needs to get some runs. It’s not for me to say that, he knows that. Any No.7 needs to be a pin, it is not unique to South Africa,” Hudson told the website ESPNcricinfo. “If Mark scores runs that puts the debate to rest. There is no reason he can’t keep playing over the next year,” he added. © ANI |
