Auckland, Feb.21 : The Black Caps are hoping that Proteas opener Richard Levi''s record-breaking Twenty20 century was a freak innings.
They are now planning to prevent a repeat performance in Wednesday’s decider at Eden Park.
Bruised by Levi’s bludgeoning 13 sixes on his way to an unbeaten 117 off 51 balls in Hamilton, the Kiwis see him as a special player.
"He''s a pretty special player who had a good innings, good on him really," stuff.co.nz quoted New Zealand opener Rob Nicol, as saying.
"We are going to have to go back to the drawing board and look at what we are going to do. We will have plans for him, and hopefully, we will be able to initiate them and get through it," said Nicol.
"We will have a look at the tape and get some plans going. The video analysts will be having a good look at it and give us some ideas and instructions," said spinner Rob Hira who went for 8.5 an over in Hamilton.
