ALWAYS THE HERO AT HOMEAjinkya Rahane and Owais Shah may have stolen the limelight at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday night. But the loudest cheer for the day was neither for one of the 10 sixes that the duo hit nor for any of Rahane's six fours in a Sreenath Arvind over. In fact, it was at the time of toss, when local hero Rahul Dravid walked on to the crease. Dravid, leading the visiting team Rajasthan Royals, in all likelihood was making his last appearance in front of his home crowd. And the Bangaloreans gave their favourite cricketer a fitting farewell. Such was the noise that commentator L Sivaramakrishnan had to delay his pre-toss interview. © HT |
