Adnan wishes to see Akmal brothers play together for PakIslamabad, June 22: Pakistan wicketkeeper Adnan Akmal has said he wants all three Akmal brothers (himself, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal) to play for Pakistan at the same time. “It is a wish come true for me to be able to play for Pakistan and God has given me this opportunity with two of my brothers already playing. However, it is my wish that all three of us play together for Pakistan at the same time,” PakPassion.Net quoted Adnan, as saying. When asked if its feel odd that he and Kamran are essentially competing for one spot, Adnan said: “No, not at all. In fact, I am always very happy when Kamran performs well.” “There is no doubt in my mind that Kamran Akmal is best wicketkeeper batsman in Pakistan, just look at the centuries he’s made for Pakistan. It is also my dream to perform like him. I try to model myself on him and perform well for Pakistan,” he added. Adnan had made his Test debut against South Africa in November 2010. His brothers, Kamran and Umar, both have central contracts with the Pakistan Cricket Board, and are regular fixtures in the national side. © ANI |
