"Returning"Afridi desperate to perform for Pak in T20 WC

Islamabad, Sep 15: Pakistan all rounder Shahid Afridi, who missed the Twenty20 series against Australia due to a thumb injury, has said he is desperate to perform for his country in the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka, starting from September 18.

“I am looking to regain my form,” the Express Tribune quoted Afridi, as saying.

“I’m aware of the expectations from me and since it’s a very important event, I will go all-out to put on a good show,” he added.

Meanwhile, there was good news for Pakistan ahead of the International Cricket Council  Awards when Pakistan players Afridi and Saeed Ajmal were named in the ODI Team of the Year.
