'Forgotten' Oz quick Bollinger eyeing moving on after 'horrible' summerSydney, Sep 13: Australia fast bowler Doug Bollinger has claimed he has regained complete fitness after he broke down with an abdominal strain in India two years ago, and added he wants to move on from a horrible summer he endured last year. ”I'd love to look back and say I had a good summer, but that didn''t happen. I''m a big man - I put my hand up and say it was horrible, and I go from there,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Bollinger, as saying. Bollinger has not worn the baggy green since the last Ashes series because of concerns over a perceived lack of conditioning. Bollinger managed just two Shield appearances last summer and was overtaken by emerging pace men Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and James Pattinson. “The training''s been really, really hard, but really enjoyable,” Bollinger said. “I''m feeling really well and good at the moment … I think it''s the first full pre-season I''ve had in about four years. Getting all the aches and pains out - just getting my wrist right and bowling well. I''m swinging the ball at the moment, which is good,” he added. © ANI |
