Evergreen Ramprakash signs new Surrey deal

Former England batsman Mark Ramprakash on Friday extended his Surrey contract until 2011 when he will be 41 years old.

Ramprakash, who became the 25th player to score 100 first-class hundreds last year, signed a two-year extension to keep him at The Oval where he has been since 2001.

"I have had a fantastic career up until now but still feel like I have much more to give", said Ramprakash who played 52 Tests.

"There are a huge amount of runs left in me and I look forward to helping shape a new era of Surrey cricket, both at the crease and in the dressing room."

Ramprakash averaged more than 100 in 2006 and 2007 and averages 75.06 in all competitions for Surrey.
