Sidebottom misses England's one-day opener

Ryan Sidebottom will miss England's opening one-day international against South Africa at Headingley on Friday.

Nottinghamshire seamer Sidebottom was ruled out of the day-night match after a fitness test on Thursday on the hip and groin injuries which have troubled him for several weeks.

Sidebottom will be monitored in the next few days to see if he is fit enough for the second match at Trent Bridge on Tuesday.
